Bio

I have had to pleasure of being in the golf business since I was 13 years old. I spent the next 4 years working as a cart boy at Charwood Country Club in West Columbia, South Carolina. This is also where I learned how to play the game of golf. Every summer, I would spend hours each day either working, playing or practicing. I left Charwood and worked at Woodcreek Farms Country Club in Elgin, South Carolina until I graduated high school.

I began attending Coastal Carolina University in the fall of 2005. I majored in Business Administration with a specification in Professional Golf Management. While at Coastal, I was able to broaden both my golf and personal horizons with a very eclectic internship schedule. Some of my internships included a high end private club in Purchase, New York called Brae Burn Country Club. As I had never been north of the Mason Dixon line, this was quite the culture shock for me but I left a better employee and a better person. I continued on to intern with the PGA of America in both Tulsa, Oklahoma (2007 PGA Championsip) and Louisville, Kentucky (2008 Ryder Cup). My last internship was with the European Tour in Wales, Great Britain (2010 Ryder Cup).

After graduation, I started my first stint at Santee National Golf Club as the Assistant Professional. From there, I have worked at a few different clubs in the Carolina Section and have now found my way back to Santee National as the Head Professional.

A few personal notes include that I am self proclaimed “cat guy”. I currently have 2 cats (Lucifer and Leo). I was born in Columbia, SC so I am a die hard Gamecock fan (any sport) EXCEPT when they play Coastal Carolina and then I pull for my alma mater. I have twin older brothers (Chris and Brian) who are 3 1/2 years older than me.
